However, a teacher and mental wellness advocate at heart, Melody decided to obtain her PhD in counselor education and supervision to train and empower not only counselors in training, but also the populations which she serves. More recently, her focus has been on Asian American representation and advocacy. Additionally, Melody has used her clinical, administrative, and creative background to impact the community both locally and abroad by providing professional and leadership development trainings, consulting with businesses and organizations, organizing events and coordinating volunteers for charities and causes, training and supervising students of all disciplines, coaching individuals and organizations with personal and professional growth concerns, and so much more. For self-care, Melody enjoys traveling to new places, hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, writing poetry, trying new foods, and sleeping.
